2Scope of this policy

This policy applies to personal data we collect through our public website at veracisanalytics.com, including any preview or “register your interest” pages and contact forms hosted there.

It does not cover the Veracis client application at app.veracisanalytics.com, which is provided to clients under a separate agreement and is governed by its own terms and data-processing arrangements. It also does not cover the practices of third-party websites we link to.

3Information we collect

Information you give us

We collect the personal data you choose to submit through our website forms:

• Register-your-interest / waitlist form: your email address.
• Contact / request-a-demo form: your name, work email address, organisation, and any details you include in your message.

Please only share information that is necessary for your enquiry. We do not ask for, and request that you do not send us, special-category data (such as health, racial or ethnic origin, or political opinions) or confidential fund or client data through these forms.

Information we collect automatically

• Server and log data: when you visit the site, our hosting provider automatically records technical information such as your IP address, browser type and version, device information, referring pages, and the date and time of your request. This is standard for the secure operation of any website.
• Submission metadata: when you send us a form, we also record — alongside the details you provide — your IP address, browser user-agent and a timestamp, to help us prevent abuse and keep an accurate record of your request.
• Analytics data: where you consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (see Cookies & analytics).

4How and why we use it

We use your personal data only for the purposes below, and always with a lawful basis under Article 6 of the GDPR:

• To respond to your enquiry and provide the information or demo you request — lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract.
• To keep you updated about our preview and launch, if you registered your interest — lawful basis: your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us or using the unsubscribe option in any such message.
• To measure and improve our website using analytics — lawful basis: your consent (given through our cookie banner).
• To operate, secure and troubleshoot the website and protect against fraud or misuse — lawful basis: our legitimate interests in running a safe, functioning website.
• To comply with our legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims — lawful basis: compliance with a legal obligation and our legitimate interests.

5Cookies & analytics

Cookies are small text files placed on your device. We use only a limited set of cookies and similar technologies:

We only set analytics cookies after you give consent through our cookie banner. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time through the banner or your browser settings. If you do not consent, no Google Analytics cookies are set. You can also install Google’s Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

Google Fonts

Our pages load the “Inter” typeface from Google Fonts. When your browser requests these font files, Google receives your IP address and request data. This is used to serve the fonts and is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy.

Managing cookies

6How we share information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only in limited circumstances:

• Form submissions: when you complete a form, the details are recorded in our own records (a secure file stored on our hosting environment, not publicly accessible) and also sent to us by email to [email protected] so we can respond. We do not load your form data into a third-party marketing or CRM platform.
• Service providers (processors) acting on our behalf:
  • Our website hosting provider, [hosting provider name], which stores the site and generates server logs.
  • Our email provider, [email provider — e.g. Google Workspace / Microsoft 365], which processes the messages you send us.
  • Google (Google Analytics and Google Fonts) as described above.
• Legal and safety reasons: where required to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, property or safety of Veracis, our users or others.
• Business transfers: if Veracis is involved in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy.

7International transfers

We aim to keep your personal data within the European Economic Area (EEA). However, some of our providers — in particular Google — may process data outside the EEA, including in the United States. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards recognised under GDPR, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the provider’s certification under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework, to ensure your data receives an equivalent level of protection.

8How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy:

• Enquiry / demo requests: for as long as needed to deal with your request and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records, then deleted.
• Register-your-interest / waitlist: until our preview or launch concludes, or until you ask to be removed or unsubscribe — whichever is earlier.
• Server logs: for a limited period as part of routine hosting operations and security.
• Analytics data: retained in accordance with our Google Analytics data-retention settings.

9How we protect it

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures — including HTTPS encryption in transit and access controls — to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we take our responsibilities seriously and act promptly if an issue arises.

10Your rights

Under GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018 you have the following rights over your personal data:

Our website and services are intended for business users and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it.

13Third-party links

Our site may link to third-party websites and services (for example our client application, LinkedIn, or Google). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal data.

14Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Where changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to bring them to your attention.
